Course Objectives: This course is designed to provide a transition to higher-level mathematics through a hands-on approach to creative problem-solving, formal mathematical concepts, and proofs. Topics include logic, proofs, induction, formal systems, and set theory.

Grading: Two regular exams, worth 150 points each.

One Final Exam, worth 200 points.

Homework, projects, presentations, 150 points.

Homework will be assigned and collected weekly.  Your grade for the course will be calculated from the percentage of your total points: 90% for A, 80% for B, 70% for C, 60% for D.

The last day to withdraw from the course with a W is February 27.
