UCC Meeting Minutes
April 1, 2003

The meeting was called to order by Monroe at 12:00.
Under New Business the following proposals were reviewed:
Math
The committee recommended the proposal.
Management
The committee recommended the proposals.
TCET
The committee recommended the proposal.
Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences
The committee recommended all six of the proposals.
International Studies
The committee recommended the two proposals.
Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT – Floyd)
The committee recommended the proposal.
Under Old Business:
Two Proposals that were returned to CET from the last meeting were resubmitted to the committee for reconsideration.
Tim Zeigler presented the case for the two proposals:
The committee recommended the proposal as submitted.
ContEd does not offer such a course on this topic.
The committee recommended the proposal with an amendment to state that the course is "For institutional credit only" in order that the Review course not be counted towards graduation.
Monroe raised one additional new item of business regarding a review of the Core Curriculum.
The Senate had recently discussed the topic and suggested assigning that to the UCC.
Tom Currin will be contacted for further information before any action can be taken.
