Proposal #1

SURV 2250 change the prerequisite from Math 1111 to Math 1113

Approved by a vote of 9 to 0

Proposal #2 (tabled item from 9/23/03 meeting)

CET 2160 – change to lecture-lab-credit hour designation from 1-6-3 to 0-6-3

The following items were addressed by the UCC.

CET

CET 2160 – change to lecture-lab hour designation

ACTION: Tabled – clarification on credit hours is needed

HTC

SPCH 2500 – new course ACTION: approved

SPCH 2510 – new course ACTION: approved

ARTS 2004 – new Humanities course offering ACTION: Tabled – more info needed on where it fits within the curriculum structure

A&S

BIOL 4400K – title & description change ACTION: approved

BIOL 4460K – title, description & prereq change ACTION: approved

CSE

Summary of Changes in SWE ACTION: all items were approved

Move Math 2260 from “Directed Elective” to Area F to replace Math 2254

Replace Math 2260 with IET 3424 in “Directed Elective” category

Remove Physics 2212 from Directed Elective

Remove CS 3123 from Computer Science function area of the curriculum

SWE 2312 – increase number of hours from 2 to 3 credit hours (3-0-3) and change course number to SWE 2313

SWE 4353 – new elective course – “Computer Game Design & Development”

SWE 4783 – new elective course – “User Interaction Engineering”

Gaming System Domain – SWE 4353, SWE 4783 and CS 4354

Component Based Software Development Domain – SWE 4743, SWE 4633 and CS 4253

Embedded System Software Domain – SWE 3683, SWE 3103 and (new course – will submit petition on 11/11

Remove SWE 4643 and SWE 4653 from the SWE curriculum based on above actions.

Total required hours for graduation will change from 128 to 124/125 based on curriculum changes above.
