How to Use Banner Web for Students
Step Instructions and Comments
1 Open Your Web Browser (Netscape for example).
2 Go to URL  http://www.spsu.edu/registration/ (There is a link to the site at the bottom of this page.) 
3 Choose the appropriate button.  If you haven't been advised, see your department for instructions.
4 Log in.  User ID is your Social Security Number, PIN is your birth date in MMDDYY format.  Ex: 071153 is 11 July 1953.   You can change your pin after you log in.
5 Re-enter your pin number.
6 Menu Selection.  Select "Student Menu".
7 Select: Registration menu.
8 Select: Add/Drop menu.
9 Select and submit the term for which you are registering.  
10 Add classes by typing in the CRN (course reference number) found in your Registration Bulletin.  Press the submit tab near the bottom of the page when you are finished adding classes.  To drop a class press the tab under the action column that corresponds with the class you want to drop.  Select the appropriate action and submit your change by pressing the submit tab near the bottom of the page.   Note that you can search for classes using several variables but you must select one or more subjects to complete a successful search.  Just press the "Class Search" button near the bottom of the screen. 
11 Exit when finished.
 
Notes:  If you get an error message, or for some reason cannot register, see your department for help.  You can check the status of holds and several other administrative functions in the web site.  Experiment with the various links.  It is in your best interest to become very familiar with what is available.

To print your schedule, select "Student Schedule by Day and Time" and use the print function in your web browser.
