How to Successfully Petition for Exceptions to Catalog

Select one of the three categories below to get instructions for completing a petition form. Note:  You may need to get the correct form from the Admissions office in order to use this site effectively. 

Welcome, Visitor CenterGeneral Petition

Click here to view or print instructions for completing the general petition form.  This form can be used for the following reasons: 
  • overload credit hours
  • extend "I" grade
  • receive ten-year credit
  • receive graduation residency waiver
  • retain previous catalog for graduation
  • withdraw completely from school after deadline
  • withdraw partially from school after deadline
  • exclude previous major courses from graduation totals
  • other (not including course substitution or reinstatement)
